Antiques & Tattoos – Day Four – Route 66

No travel- slept in then off to the Historic Route 66 District of Amarillo. It was not what we were expecting. The businesses were “Antique” stores, which translated to “vendor mall” and tattoo parlors. You could still find some Retro,Cool Junk & Weird Stuff – all on sale!

There was no shortage of food & beverages!

If you are an artist-Amarillo is the place to paint a building!

“Eat an entire 72 ounce steak and it’s free at The Big Texan!” We couldn’t even come close… the onion rings were great and the steak delicious! You can tell because the only things left on the plate are bread and broccoli.

Back to the campground for a quiet night, except for Irene joining the band. A movie, a little snack, and a cocktail to round out the evening.
