This morning we tapped into our inner child. This stretch of 66, between Seligman and Kingman is said to be the inspiration for the Disney movie Cars.
The town barber, Angel Delgadillo wanted to see Route 66 and the town survive.
This strip of 66 has the feel of the old road…
Best Italian food EVER!!! Wonderful family run place with so much charm. In an old railroad car. Anyone traveling close to Kingman, AZ should definitely stop at Catrenello’s!
About 50 miles later…CALIFORNIA…112 degrees in Needles where we spent the night. So oppressively hot, even the wind was HOT 🥵. We set up at the RV park but Little Red could not cool off. Her AC was blowing warm air. At 9 PM still at 100 degrees we called it. Broke camp in the dark…Best Western to the rescue! We cooled down quickly and slept hard.
