Push Pin Statue – halfway point of Route 66 in Oklahoma. 66 runs right through the center of Chandler…Oklahoma!” Makes you think you have stepped back in time. Complete with a rally going on on the town square. May have done some shopping at Sharpe’s Department Store…

…lunch at the Manvel Avenue Coffee Company. Caprese’ Panini and Lemon Frappe.

Fun Interpretive Museum in the former Armory. The story of the armory being built is pretty amazing….it took one year at a cost $50,000 in 1937. It was a WPA project. The stones were quarried & hand chiseled locally, walls 20 inches thick … in this windy state a good place to take shelter

Actual car seats to sit in while watching information about exhibits

Another service station turned gift shop…I think not!!! Route 66 Seaba Station, Motorcycle Museum…but let’s start with bicycles. For all the young adults out there, “pedal assist” or electric bikes have been around a long time.

Evil Knevil pinball & D-Day motor cycle.

Tomorrow we are going to be on our longest continuous stretch of Route 66 from Chandler, OK to Joplin, MO. We will hit the 13 mile stretch that clips the corner of Kansas.
After a couple of Marie Calendar chicken pot pies, we are saying good night 😴.
